Terms and Conditions

Last updated: April 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Inspectr, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use Inspectr services.

2. Service Description and Current Service Model

Inspectr provides API, webhook, and MCP traffic inspection tooling across two distinct offerings: (a) the local Inspectr software you install and operate in your own environment ("Inspectr Software"), and (b) the Inspectr ingress/expose offering used to forward public traffic to your local environment ("Inspectr Service").

Inspectr services are operated from Belgium, with DNS managed by Cloudflare and hosting provided by Delta.blue infrastructure in Europe.

Inspectr Software is open-source and available through GitHub. Inspectr Service is currently offered with a simple commercial plan. Additional or updated commercial terms may be published and will apply only from their effective date.

3. Service Modes: Local and Expose

For Inspectr Software (local installation), request and response data processing and storage occur in your own environment under your control. For Inspectr Service (ingress/expose), ingress infrastructure is used only to accept and forward encrypted traffic to your local Inspectr instance.

Inspectr Service (ingress/expose) is forwarding-only and does not store request details or sensitive information from proxied traffic on the ingress side, including request bodies, query parameters, headers, and response payload content.

Any traffic handling required to route a live connection is transient and non-persistent. This forwarding-only, non-storage commitment is a material term of these Terms and Conditions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Inspectr to violate applicable law, interfere with service operations, transmit malicious payloads, or process data without an appropriate legal basis.

You must not use Inspectr Service to attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, perform denial-of-service activity, or relay unlawful content.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for configuration choices, security controls in your own environment, and ensuring that your use of Inspectr is compliant with data protection and sector-specific obligations.

6. No Storage Commitment for Ingress Payload Data

Inspectr Service ingress/expose does not persist request/response payload content from proxied traffic. This includes request bodies, response bodies, headers, query parameters, and similar sensitive payload details.

7. Intellectual Property

Inspectr branding, hosted service features, and related materials remain the intellectual property of Inspectr and its licensors. Open-source components are governed by their respective licenses.

8. Availability and Service Changes

We may change, limit, or discontinue parts of Inspectr Service at any time, including free access features, to maintain security, stability, or legal compliance.

We do not provide a guaranteed uptime commitment unless a separate written agreement explicitly states otherwise.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Inspectr services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inspectr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or use.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where required to protect service integrity, address abuse, or comply with legal obligations. You may stop using Inspectr at any time.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Our data handling commitments and role allocation are described in the Privacy Policy. In case of conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy for data-handling statements, the Privacy Policy governs.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, excluding conflict of laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Brussels, Belgium.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates are effective when posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
